MGA Faculty and Students Attend TechNet Augusta 2022

Five students from MGA’s School of Computing, along with faculty members Dr. S.C. Spangler and Dr. Kembley Lingelbach, attended the 2022 TechNet Augusta conference to present at the event’s research poster show.

MGA IT students are researching users' perceptions of mobile security and privacy knowledge. Elizabeth Williams, an MGA doctoral student, presented her literature review and research framework on “Actualizing Gender and Racial Diversity Inclusion in Computing Fields.” In addition, the students are focused on mentoring their peers and the community about cybersecurity awareness with mobile devices. U.S. Army Cyber Command Brig. Gen. Paul T. Stanton, Deputy Commanding General (Operations) at Fort Gordon, awarded the students an accommodation Cyber Team Gordon Medal for their research and conference attendance.
