MGA Archives Receives 2022 GHRAC Historical Records Grant Award

Middle Georgia State University Archives has been awarded $3,000 from The Georgia Historical Records Advisory Council (GHRAC) to develop and/or implement projects to identify, preserve, and provide access to historical records. The archivists have plans to begin digitization efforts for archival materials that include but are not limited to Middle Georgia State College yearbooks, Macon Junior and Macon State College course catalogs, and a myriad of photographs. The biggest undertaking will be for the Macon State Archives currently housed in the Macon Campus library to process, organize, and make efforts to preserve the records of the collection.
