Elevating Higher: A Town Hall Discussion About MGA’s Future With Dr. Christopher Blake, President
As MGA begins visualizing the University’s next five years of growth, engagement, and service, Dr. Christopher Blake, president, was pleased to host two Town Hall discussion sessions on the Cochran and Macon campuses on Monday, October 3, to give students, faculty, and staff opportunities to participate in this vital work.
These Town Hall discussions were planned so that MGA leadership could receive much-needed feedback on how the University should build on the 2018-2023 strategic plan – our vision roadmap, if you will - titled “Elevating Middle Georgia.” With fewer than 12 months ahead of us until the 2023-2024 academic year, the time has come to push harder, travel farther, and reach an even higher elevation.
The MGA community discussed what we achieved over the past five years, areas where we might have fallen short, and how we should move forward. Dr. Blake and the faculty, staff, and student members of the Ad Hoc Strategic Plan Committee AY23 will take the verbal and written feedback provided at the Town Halls and use it to help shape and develop the next strategic plan.
You can review the current strategic plan here: Elevating Middle Georgia.
Thank you to all who took the time to attend, engage with the MGA community, and be a part of the University's updated plan for greatness by helping us map the road ahead.
