MGA's Nominees for the Regents' Teaching Excellence Awards

Congratulations to the following faculty and programs, who were selected from a highly impressive and competitive pool to represent MGA in the State Universities sector of the Regents' Teaching Excellence Awards:
  • Dr. Rebecca Lanning, Professor of Music (School of Arts and Letters) – Felton Jenkins, Jr. Hall of Fame Faculty Award
  • Dr. Scott Hinze, Associate Professor of Psychology (School of Education and Behavioral Sciences) – Regents’ Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award
  • Dr. Vicky Sandoval, Assistant Professor of Information Technology (School of Computing) – Regents’ Teaching Excellence Award for Online Teaching
  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (Chair Dr. Neil Rigole, School of Computing) – Regents’ Teaching Excellence Award for Department or Program
  • Bachelor of Science in Social Work (Program Director Dr. Rebekah Hazlett-Knudsen, School of Education and Behavioral Sciences) – Regents’ Momentum Award for Excellence in Teaching and Curricular Innovation

Over the next few weeks, the nominees will build compelling and persuasive portfolios for their respective categories. The MGA Awards Selection Committee wishes the nominees much success in the state-level competition, the winners of which should be announced by the USG in early January 2023.
