Delta Captain Anya Kearns, a graduate of MGA's School of Aviation, was featured in a story in the latest issue of James Magazine. Kearns became a captain with the Delta Air Lines pilot staff in 2022.
"Kearns, a Marietta native, continued her education at Middle Georgia State University’s School of Aviation, becoming
the first black woman at the school to earn a bachelor’s degree in flight management.
After that, she landed her first job as a professional pilot at Endeavor Air, a Delta subsidiary. Her upward trajectory carried her through some COVID turbulence and into her dream job at Delta as a first officer in 2021, and as a captain last August."
