On Wednesday, April 5, author Annette Saunooke Clapsaddle held a lecture and reading of her novel, Even as We Breathe, as part of MGA's 2023 Arts Festival. Clapsaddle read from and discussed her award-winning novel, "which tells the coming-of-age story of Cowney Sequoyah, a nineteen-year-old Cherokee boy who finds himself entangled in dangerous mysteries in Asheville's grand Grove Park Inn in the midst of World War II."
