Cochran Campus Facilities staff members received certifications as part of Georgia School Plant Maintenance Association's training camp that is held annually on MGA's Cochran Campus June 12-15. Twelve custodians were certified in Custodian Techniques, while four Maintenance staff received certificates in Fire Alarms, Electrical, Locks/Hardware & Plumbing.
Georgia School Plant Maintenance Association (GSPMA) was first started in 1957 under the title of Georgia Association of Maintenance and Operating Personnel, the people who cared for and maintained the schools in Georgia. They developed standards and inspections that were conducted across the state. Today, GSPMA's goal is to improve the facilities of our schools and educate the personnel who take care of these facilities.
