Degree Works/Transfer Check:
Transfer Student Spotlights:
Deidra Marcellus, Junior/Nursing
"I am a transfer student from Georgia State University. I joined the MGA family this fall and am looking forward to starting with the [Department] of Nursing in Spring 2024. I am grateful for the opportunity to pursue my dreams of becoming a Registered Nurse. Middle Georgia State University has aided in making my transition seamless by providing courteous, efficient, and timely responses to my questions and concerns. It has been an honor and a privilege to join the Knight Family!"
Rafal Wlodarczyk, Sophomore/New Media & Communication
“I transferred this semester from Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, and honestly, the process was very easy. Thanks to MGA, they always replied quickly and assisted me with all the help I needed through the process of transferring. I would also mention that Jessica Arnold does an amazing job as International Student Coordinator. I am glad we have someone like Jessica because she makes everything easier!”
Leneva Woodford, Sophomore/Nursing
“The transfer process to MGA was very smooth and probably the most organized process I had ever encountered. My advisor kept in touch with me and gave me excellent advice about classes and exams needed to be accepted into the nursing program. Without her, I probably would have been stressed trying to figure it out by myself! For any future MGA students, as long as you communicate your needs and desires with the staff, they will help you!”
MGA Transfer Champion Staff Spotlights:
Natasha McGrigg, Recruiter
“After starting a family, I decided to go back to school and finish my degree. So, I have firsthand experience of what it is like to balance family, work and school. I enjoy working with Transfer/Adult Learners because it gives me the opportunity to help others who are trying to figure their way through as well. Especially those who have been out of school for years to let them know you can do this!”
Dianna Walker-Ivey, Academic Transfer Specialist
“I enjoy helping transfer students maximize credit and understand how they’ll achieve their academic goals at MGA, but what I love the most is providing a warm welcome. I think a kind, informative invitation creates the connection that transfer students need to make MGA home.”
