On Oct. 21, Macon-Bibb hosted the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Day at MGA's Macon Campus. Local community members joined Mayor Lester Miller to take part in raising money and bringing awareness to the disease.
"The walk happened on October 21, at Middle Georgia State University with hundreds of people taking part to raise money. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s raises funds for advancing research and supporting programs that benefit Georgia’s families. According to its website, more than $100,000 were raised this year."
