Continuing an upward trend, Middle Georgia State University (MGA) grew its enrollment this fall by nearly 5 percent over last year.
MGA's fall 2023 enrollment reached 8,039 students, according to the University System of Georgia’s official report released November 14. That’s a 4.6 percent gain. The University System of Georgia as a whole saw an enrollment gain of 3 percent.
“We are gratified that the attractiveness and relevance of our degree programs and campus life are resulting in substantive enrollment growth for Middle Georgia State,” said Dr. Stephen Schultheis, vice president for Enrollment Management. “This positive trend is a result of collaborative efforts across the University, from faculty and staff to administration. It underscores Middle Georgia State's position as a premier choice for higher education in this region and our commitment to helping students achieve their career and personal life goals.”
