Robins Center of Automation, MGA Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Host Roadshow

In January, the Robins Center of Automation and MGA hosted an automation Roadshow at the University's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship on the Warner Robins Campus.

Open to active duty and civilian Airmen, contractors, and MGA students, the four-day event taught attendees automation processes that could be used in their everyday work, saving them hours of labor. They were also able to "receive guidance from experts and network with forward-thinking and tech-savvy base personnel." At the end of the Roadshow, attendees presented their research and practices, which they can apply to their current or future positions.

MGA's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship merges work being done at the Warner Robins Campus while solving software problems of regional businesses, creating a space for entrepreneurs, and building the workforce of the future to directly support the shifting mission of Robins Air Force Base and the business community at-large.

“The partnership between SC and MGA-WR started about a year ago through a meeting set up by the 21st Partnership, according to Juanson Pitt, 78th ABW/SC chief of business systems branch.

‘The initial meeting focused on how to introduce the students to some of the technologies being utilized at Robins and potentially have students working in conjunction to accomplish software development projects,’ Pitt said.”
