MGA was well represented by the School of Business at the SouthEast Decision Sciences Institute held in Charleston, South Carolina February 21-23.
Two MGA students were awarded student awards for their submission in a paper competition. Jessca Furtney (right) won the undergraduate award for her paper, "Optimizing Engagement: Crafting a Comprehensive Volunteer Model for Kingdom Boxing Fitness Foundation," while Victoria Horton-Roark (left) won for the graduate division with her paper, "Higher-Ed Student Mental Stress Mitigation Model: Why It’s Important in a Post-Pandemic Landscape."
Dr. Anthony Narsing (middle), who sponsored the two papers, also won the best track paper for his research, "Pilot Study: Managing Technostress in Higher Education- Evaluating Coping Strategies During the COVID-19 Pandemic."
Also, School of Business faculty Melissa Jordan and Dorothy Howell presented their paper, "Improving Student Success in Higher Education Using an Interactive and Adaptive Approach," at the National Student Success Conference: Innovators & Innovations in Higher Education, hosted by the University of Central Florida and the Florida Consortium of Metropolitan Research Universities on February 26 in Orlando, Florida.
