The City of Cochran and the Cochran-Bleckley Chamber Commerce welcome volunteers for their annual Clean-Up Day! Join them in beautifying their community on Saturday, April 20 at 9 a.m.

Clean-Up Day will kick off in the parking lot behind the Chamber of Commerce and Police Department buildings at 9 a.m. The City and Chamber of Commerce will provide plastic bags, gloves, and masks to all volunteers who wish to help pick up litter along the road segment.

The Scrap Tire Amnesty for Cochran residents will also take place behind the Police Department on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. Tires must be rimless. Tires can be brought by and disposed of for FREE.

Prior to Clean-Up Day, tires can be dropped off at the Public Works Barn from Monday, April 15, through Friday, April 19, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Four bulk waste dumpster locations will be available on the 20th for City residents to throw away household items. Old furniture and household items are welcome!

  • 142 Thompson Street at the Peyton Williams Learning Center 250 East Dykes Street at the Rec Department
