In celebration of Arbor Day and in collaboration with the Future Farmers of America (FFA) State Convention, Middle Georgia State University (MGA) hosted two special campus beautification events on the Macon Campus.
On April 24 and 25, MGA hosted approximately 250 FFA students as they engaged in volunteer work in MGA’s Macon Campus gardens. This marks the fourth consecutive year that the FFA students have generously contributed their time and effort to enhance MGA campuses.
On Wednesday, April 24, MGA hosted an Arbor Day celebration and tree planting at 11 a.m. between the Library and Teacher Education Building (TEB) on the Macon Campus. MGA was joined by FFA volunteers, Tree Campus U.S.A., and campus community members at the ceremony, where University representatives planted a shady lane Compton oak and presented an Arbor Day proclamation.
