East Laurens High School student La'tyren Baker, 18, has served as caretaker of his mother since his freshman year after she suffered a stroke. Now a graduating senior, he plans to pursue a nursing degree at MGA in the fall.
"'If you help people, it will come back to you. If you provide something for somebody, it will come back to you in the long run,' Baker said."
