2024 MGA Day of Service - September 27

MGA's 7^th annual Day of Service is Friday, September 27. This is our time where students, faculty, and staff can positively impact the communities where we live, work, and study and celebrate our institutional values of stewardship, engagement, adaptability, and learning. 

The past two years, we adapted the MGA Day of Service a bit to provide our Schools, Departments, Teams, Offices, Clubs, Buildings, etc. the ability to sponsor/host a community service opportunity for their students, faculty, and staff. This format gave us the highest participation to date! This also provides you the chance to connect with your students and your team and engage with our local community organizations. We’d like to expand the engagement to have a variety of choices for our students, faculty, and staff. MGA Day of Service is typically on Fridays, but other days that week are acceptable as well. 

Please discuss this with your team, elect/appoint a Rep or Lead for your area, and sponsor/host a community service opportunity for the MGA Day of Service.   

Your Rep will:

• Set up an opportunity (I have ideas if they need some)
• Serve as the point of contact for the project
• Take online registrations
• Record attendance at the event
• Take pictures and have a great experience!
