Men's Basketball head coach Scott Moe is pleased to announce the hiring of Tyler Thayer as an assistant coach for the Knights men's basketball program.
"I think the hiring of Tyler will bring a new energy to the Middle Georgia basketball program. His experience and knowledge of the NCAA will be valuable as we move our program forward" said Moe.
Thayer comes to MGA after three seasons as an assistant coach at Barry University, a NCAA Division II institution in Miami Shores, Florida and a member of the Sunshine State Conference. Thayer assisted in all aspects of the program with an emphasis on recruiting, player development, and monitoring academics. At Barry, he recruited and developed three Sunshine State All-Conference players and one All-Newcomer player as well as nine players that went on to play professionally.
