MGA Center for Middle Georgia Studies Featured in GPB News Radio Morning Headlines

On Tuesday, September 3, MGA formally launched the Center for Middle Georgia Studies with a short ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by faculty, staff, and special guests. The event and Center were highlighted in GPB News Radio's Morning Headlines on September 4.

"Macon’s Middle Georgia State University has launched a new program to address stubborn local social issues through academic research." 

The Center for Middle Georgia Studies was established to leverage the synergy between academic expertise and community resources to empower individuals and enhance communities. Our mission is to address real-life challenges in Middle Georgia through collaborative problem-solving and research.

The Center is located in MGA’s Macon Campus Library and was completed in January 2024.
