Knights Conduct Safety Screenings at Cochran Assisted Living Facility

Dr. Eugenia Herbst, assistant professor and academic fieldwork coordinator, Dr. Amanda Davis, assistant professor, and Master of Science in Occupational Therapy students visited At Home Senior Living, an assisted iving facility in Cochran to provide fall safety screens.

Students completed an interview and a fall risk questionnaire with residents. Based on those findings, students used their professional reasoning to select appropriate standardized assessments to address the risk of falls. It was a great learning experience for the students and the residents and staff were very appreciative.
