Dodge County-Eastman Development Authority Receives $2 Million Grant for Eastman Aerospace Park Improvements

On December 4, Governor Brian P. Kemp announced that the Dodge County-Eastman Development Authority is an inaugural recipient of the OneGeorgia Authority’s new Rural Site Development Initiative grant, which enables Georgia’s rural communities to identify, assess, and develop industrial sites to bring economic opportunity.

The Dodge County-Eastman Development Authority will use the grant for necessary water and sewer improvements at the Eastman Aerospace Park, a “GRAD Select” park adjacent to the Heart of Georgia Regional Airport and MGA's School of Aviation. The park is well-positioned to attract strategic industries such as aerospace and defense.

13WMAZ spoke with MGA aviation students about the announcement and how it could help boost aviation industry opportunities in Eastman.

Congratulations to the community leaders in Dodge County and Eastman who made this happen!
