NextGen Coders Provides Coding Education to Middle Georgia Youths

In a recent article, WPGA News highlighted NextGen Coders, a student-led nonprofit program designed to teach young people to code through beginner and intermediate-level classes, preparing them for future careers in tech. The program is offering students free hour-and-a-half-long Saturday sessions beginning on February 1 at 9:30 a.m. on MGA's Warner Robins Campus thanks to the support from the University and 21st Century Partnership.

"'I personally actually wanted to learn coding, especially in Middle School but with so few opportunities and even with the opportunities available they would fill up very fast or they would cost some sort of fee or money,'" said Michael Do, a founder of NextGen Coders.

"'[Students] can start early and get an advantage in the field of coding so when they join the industry, they will be prepared for their career.'"
