Houston County Schools, MGA NextGen Coders Partnership Interest Meeting Ignites Students

MGA's Warner Robins Campus Walker Auditorium was full of excitement on Saturday, Feb. 1, as Houston County Schools students and parents and MGA faculty and students filled the room to learn more about the NextGen Coders program.

The student-led partnership is a collaboration of MGA and the 21st Century Partnership. At Saturday's interest meeting, students and their families were introduced to the NextGen Coders program, where student leaders introduced the program's goals.

NextGen Coders is a student-led nonprofit program designed to teach young people to code through beginner and intermediate-level classes, preparing them for future careers in tech. The program is offering students free hour-and-a-half-long Saturday sessions.

The program will meet throughout the coming months to foster coding skills and collaboration skills. View the schedule below.
