Join MGA’s political science department for the first political science discussion event for the spring 2025 semester, "We Didn’t Start The Fire: A Look at Contemporary Global Issues." 

Anticipated panelists are:

  • Dr. John Powell Hall, Associate Professor of Political Science, Department of History and Political Science
  • Dr. Thomas Matyók, Associate Professor of Public Safety, Department of Psychology and Criminal Justice
  • Dr. Christopher N. Lawrence, Professor of Political Science, Department of History and Political Science (moderator)

Among the anticipated topics of conversation are the ongoing war in Ukraine, the Israeli-Hamas conflict in the Middle East, upcoming elections in Canada and Germany, and the developing trade/tariff conflicts between the US and various states (China, Canada, Mexico, the EU, etc.).
