Knights Bounce Back to Defeat Bees | Men's Tennis

Knights men's tennis was back in action on Sunday, March 2, as they played the Bees of SCAD-Atlanta. The Knights suffered a close loss the previous match and were looking to bounce back against the Bees.

The Knights were playing from behind from the start as they lost all three doubles matches and lost the doubles point. The Knights had to win four of the six singles matches to take the win. The Knights won the #2 singles match to tie the overall match at 1-1 but the Bees won the #3 singles match to take a 2-1 lead. The other four singles matches all went to a third set.

The Knights grabbed the 3-2 lead after winning in the #4 singles match with Nick Dufner (7-6, 0-6, 6-3) and the #1 singles match with Daniel Garcia Suarez (7-6, 4-6, 6-3). The Bees tied the match with a win in the #5 singles match and the overall match came down to Samyak Bajracharya in the #6 singles match. Bajracharya lost the first set, 2-6, but stormed back to win the final two sets, 6-3, 6-3, to take the match and give the Knights a 4-3 win.

The Knights will be back on their home court on Friday, March 7, at 1 p.m. as they host the Stallions of Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College.
