Knights men's tennis was in Montgomery, Alabama on March 13 and 14 as they took part in the first SSAC Roundup of the season. The Knights were looking to pick up two more wins on the season and stay undefeated within conference play.
Match One - Blue Mountain
The Knights were unfazed by the Toppers as they easily won the Doubles point with a 6-1 win in the #3 Doubles match and a 6-2 win in the #1 Doubles match to take the first point. The Knights made quick work in the singles competition, winning all six matches in straight sets, to win the match 7-0.
Match Two - Mobile
The second match of the SSAC Roundup was a much tougher opponent. The Knights found themselves down 1-0 after the Doubles portion of the match, losing two of the three matches 7-6. The Knights looked to the singles matches to try and get the four points to win the overall match. The Knights lost the #1 Singles and #6 Singles matches but won the #2, #3, and #5 Singles matches to tie the overall match at 3-3. The Knights would look to Duarte Mestre to pull through in the #4 Singles match. Mestre won the first set 6-4 but lost the second set 6-7 to set up a third and final set for the overall match. Mestre pulled out the 6-2 win to give the Knights the match.
