For the first time in MGA history, the Knights men's basketball program is headed to the NAIA National Tournament. The Knights received an at-large bid to the tournament after finishing the SSAC regular season as the 3-seed in the East division and finished runner-up in the 2025 SSAC Tournament.
13WMAZ featured the Knights in a recent story as they prepare for the NAIA tournament on Friday, March 14.
"We've been close a few times but for us to just be able to finally get over the hump and get there... It's been very exciting for us," said head coach Scott Moe."
The Knights will tip-off this Friday, March 14, at 5:30 p.m. CST in Alexandria, Louisiana as the Generals of LSU-Alexandria host the Opening Round as the 1-seed and will take on the 16-seed Tigers of Stillman College. Winners of both game will play against each other for a spot at the final site, played in Kansas City, Missouri.
"'It means everything. I mean at this point in my life it's about milestones. Milestone wins, milestone of every sort. This is a milestone for this program,' said Moe."
