The Museum of Technology is launching a new community outreach initiative to enhance public awareness and engagement. The project focuses on expanding marketing efforts through direct mail campaigns, rack cards, and strategic partnerships with local organizations such as Visit Macon, libraries, and schools.
"Our goal is to make Central Georgia’s rich technological history more accessible to the broader community," said Tina Ashford, faculty curator of the Museum of Technology. "Many residents may not realize that our museum is open to the public, and we want to change that."
The initiative follows discussions from the recent On The Table Central Georgia event, where representatives from Historic Macon highlighted the need for increased visibility. Through these outreach efforts, the museum hopes to welcome more visitors and inspire future generations.
