During her stay, Cerri learned more about the education system in the U.S. by attending education courses with the Elementary/Special Education Macon cohort and completing field experiences at Perdue Elementary, Stratford Academy, and Woodfield Academy.

Cerri enjoyed a wide range of cultural experiences with her new friends and teacher education faculty; some of these activities included taking a trip to a farm, traveling to Plains, Ga. on the historic SAM Shortline Railroad to see the home of former President Jimmy Carter, taking in the sites in Atlanta, and going to Universal Studios.
