Middle Georgia State University is sending 16 Knights to play baseball for various collegiate leagues this summer, including three pitchers who are joining the Macon Bacon.
College/university baseball coaches often want their players to participate in “summer ball” to help them hone their skills and stay sharp. “We only send our guys to the best leagues and coaches,” said Sean Stevens, an assistant baseball coach for the Knights.
