Center for Middle Georgia Studies, Museum of Aviation Partner to Host Robotics Camp

The Center for Middle Georgia Studies, in partnership with the Museum of Aviation’s National STEM Academy, hosted a dynamic “Intro to Robotics” STEM Educator Camp on June 16-17.

The free two-day camp, held on MGA’s Macon Campus, offered educators from across Middle Georgia hands-on experience with classroom-friendly robotics tools and the opportunity to earn 1.3 Continuing Education Units (CEUs).

The Center for Middle Georgia Studies, in partnership with the Museum of Aviation’s National STEM Academy, hosted a dynamic “Intro to Robotics” STEM Educator Camp on June 16-17.

Educators were invited to bring one 1st-5th grade student, blending professional development with play-based learning using Dash, Indi, Ozobot, and Sphero robots. Together, participants explored how robotics can foster collaboration, interdisciplinary learning, and critical thinking. Through immersive learning experiences, educators and students discovered how to engage with advanced technology in kid-friendly, classroom-ready ways while building skills for success in a tech-driven future.

This engaging learning experience is part of a broader collaboration between MGA and the Museum of Aviation. The partnership supports community engagement, resource sharing, and STEM workforce development throughout the region.

Together, MGA and the Museum are building a foundation for educators to integrate advanced technology into instruction while inspiring the next generation of innovators in Middle Georgia.
