This spring, MGA Athletics named Steven Rhodes as the new head coach for the Knights women's basketball program.
On Monday, June 16, the University hosted a welcome reception for Rhodes on the Cochran Campus, where 13WMAZ caught up with the new coach.
"'I think everything is on the ground floor right now,' Rhodes said. 'So, there is some history to be proud of. The exciting thing with this move is it's a whole new phase.'
"Looking ahead to his time in Central Georgia, he's focused on fostering the 'Knight Shift,' a moniker designed to shift students, community members and alumni's focus to the team and get them excited about the Knights' new brand of basketball."
