As we gear up to welcome our newest Knights and reconnect with our returning Knights this August, please review the following important reminders from Auxiliary Services to help students prepare for the upcoming semester.
Knight Card (Student ID)
All students must have a Knight card, either physical or virtual. A physical ID is required to access the residence halls, dining facilities, and the Recreation and Wellness Center.
To receive your Knight card, please visit the Knight card website to upload an appropriate photo and complete registration.
Residential students are required to upload their photo and receive card approval before move-in day on August 9.
Meal Plans
Students living in residence halls on the Cochran and Macon campuses during the fall and spring semesters are required to have a meal plan. Once your housing assignment is confirmed, a default meal plan of 19 meals per week plus $100 Dining Dollars will automatically be added to your account.
Students can modify their plan in the meal plan portal until Wednesday, August 20. Please visit the website to learn about meal plan options and how to modify your plan.
Note: Only the meal plans available based on your housing assignment will be shown in the portal.
Parking
All students bringing a vehicle to campus must register for a parking permit.
A $10 parking fee has been added to your student account, but you must still register your vehicle to receive your permit. Unregistered vehicles or those parked outside of their designated zones will be subject to citation. Register today by visiting the MGA parking website.
Bookstore/First Day Access
You will receive an email from Barnes & Noble Education if you are in a class that uses First Day Access. If you choose to participate, the book or software charge will be on your student account. If you choose to opt out, you must use the course materials link in your LMS to do so. Additional details can be found in the Barnes & Noble email. The last day to opt out is August 28.
If you have any questions or need further assistance, please email Auxiliary Services at auxiliary@mga.edu.
