Biology Students Attend Cullowhee Native Plant Conference

MGA biology majors Alana Jones and Kenny Grieshop received scholarships to attend the Cullowhee Native Plant Conference at Western Carolina University this past month.

The Cullowhee Native Plant Conference provides forums for presentations and discussions about plant ecology, horticulture, gardening methods and landscape design and installation. It also promotes knowledge of native plant and native plant community ecology. Dr. Dawn Sherry, past conference director and MGA biology professor, worked with members of the Steering Committee to provide field, workshop, and lecture activities designed as valuable educational experiences.
