Student Affairs: Important Fall 2025 Information

The Division of Student Affairs is committed to helping students make the most of their experience at MGA by providing them with outstanding opportunities and programs. One of their main objectives is to provide students with a safe and secure learning environment. One of the ways to do that is by making students aware of policies designed to help them succeed as a Knight! These are in the MGA Student Handbook and on the MGA website. 

Dr. Jennifer Brannon, VP for Student Affairs, would like to specifically draw attention to the following items:

• MGA is an alcohol and other drugs-free campus.  The Alcohol and Drug Free Campus Policy is in the student handbook, and it outlines the laws and penalties related to the unlawful use of any of these substances. 
• MGA is also a Tobacco Free campus which includes vapes. Information for anyone who needs help to address issues of substance abuse or smoking cessation can do so through our Counseling Services, our Health Clinics, and through BeWell@MGA.
• The Sexual Harassment and Misconduct policy includes information and steps to take if someone becomes a victim of sexual harassment or misconduct. Information can also be attained through our Title IX office.
• The required annual report of campus crime statistics is mentioned in the handbook and available online through Campus Police.
• Students' responsibilities and rights related to alleged Code of Conduct violations are outlined in the Student Code of Conduct within the handbook.

In addition to these policies, the student handbook includes a great deal of other information as it is an important online resource for students to become familiar with and use throughout their time at MGA.
