IACIS Awards & Honors

Dr. Kevin Floyd, associate dean and professor of information technology for the School of Computing, was elected president of IACIS—a role that reflects his leadership, scholarship, and commitment to advancing excellence in information systems education and research.

Dr. Marc Miller, Georgia Eminent Scholar in business and dean of the School of Business, served as a keynote speaker, delivering AI Ethics: Frameworks, Principles, and Future Directions and sharing insights into responsible artificial intelligence practices in education and business.

Dr. Myungjae Kwak, department chair of computer science for the School of Computing, received the prestigious IACIS Director’s Award in recognition of his exemplary scholarship, leadership, and service to the computing discipline.

Dr. Sebastian Castaldi, an alumnus of MGA’s Doctor of Science in Information Technology program (Class of 2025), received a Doctoral Student Research Award for his outstanding research contributions, further demonstrating the national impact of MGA’s doctoral program.
