MGA men's soccer hit the road to Rome, Ga. on Wednesday, Oct. 1, as they were set to take on the Hawks of Shorter University. The Knights were coming off of a tough loss and looking to come back with a win over a Shorter team that was still looking for their first win of the season.
The Knights found themselves up early as they scored in the fifth minute of the match off the foot of Javier Gongora Andres, his second goal of the season. The Knights kept applying pressure on the Hawks as they continued to fire off shots but none were successful in finding the back of the net as the Knights held a 1-0 lead going into the halftime break.
