MGA Represented at 2025 Georgia College Personnel Association Conference

Recently, several members of the Middle Georgia State University team had the opportunity to represent MGA at the 2025 Georgia College Personnel Association (GCPA) Conference — an in-person professional experience held at Mercer University in Macon, Ga.

MGA's delegation included:

  • Dr. Christina Jackson, Executive Director of Housing
  • Ashley Thompson, Assistant Director of Student Engagement
  • Andrew Harper, Area Coordinator
  • Terrance Telfair, Community Assistant, Lakeview Pointe (Macon Campus)
  • Trevion Burks, Student Conduct Coordinator
This year’s conference theme, “Georgia On My Mind: Celebrating Excellence in Higher Education,” set the stage for an inspiring experience.

On day two, Ashley Thompson and Trevion Burks had the privilege of presenting their session, “Navigating Challenges as a Young Professional.” Additionally, Dr. Christina Jackson presented, “Preparing the Table for Leadership: Exploring Organizational Culture.”

The highlight of the conference was an unexpected and humbling moment, when Trevion Burks was honored to receive the Paul K. Jahr Award of Excellence, recognizing his contributions and impact across higher education.

It was an incredible opportunity to showcase MGA’s excellence and commitment to professional growth and student success.
