Middle Georgia State University’s Department of Respiratory Therapy and Health Sciences is a recipient of the 2026–2027 American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) Apex Award for its exemplary demonstration of best practices in respiratory education and care.
The AARC Apex Award recognizes hospitals, clinics, and educational programs nationwide that demonstrate the highest standards in patient care, evidence-based practice, and professional education. Middle Georgia State (MGA) is among a select group of institutions across the country to earn this national designation.
“We are tremendously excited to receive Apex designation from the AARC,” said Teri Miller, chair of MGA’s Department of Respiratory Therapy and Health Science. “Our team and our clinical partners work diligently to prepare respiratory therapists to serve our community, and this honor recognizes that shared commitment to giving our best for the patients we serve.”
