Students gave presentations related to their archival research conducted in their spring 2025 Historic Site Interpretation class. These projects examined the African American history associated with Hay House, an 1855 Italian Renaissance Revival home in downtown Macon that tells the stories of the Johnston, Felton, and Hays families who lived there. The Hay House received the research projects at the end of the spring 2025 semester.

The Society for Georgia Archivists "represents over 100 institutions that care for historical records and provides its members with the support needed to identify, preserve, and make accessible the records of the past and present for the future." Isaiah, Melissa, and Sagan had the opportunity to share their own experiences researching local historical records as well as attended conference sessions and networked with other state and regional archivists.
