Kembley Lingelbach, an information systems security professor at Middle Georgia State University (MGA), is helping guide conversations on Georgia’s booming data center industry and its economic, environmental, and community impacts.
“Data centers are critical to supporting technological innovation, from cloud storage to artificial intelligence, but they also require careful oversight to balance economic growth with environmental and social responsibility,” Lingelbach said. She draws on decades of experience working in a data center at Robins Air Force Base to provide insight into the industry’s opportunities and challenges.
