Middle Georgia State University has reached a major academic milestone with the first graduates of its Doctor of Science in Public Safety program.
The practice-focused doctorate, approved in 2023, is designed for working professionals in law enforcement, emergency management, corrections, and related fields. Members of the inaugural cohort completed applied, field-based research aimed at improving public safety practice while balancing full-time careers.
The program emphasizes collaboration, research-informed leadership, and real-world problem-solving to prepare graduates for advanced roles across the public safety field.
