MGA’s Tyrone Smiley Earns National CASP Certification

Middle Georgia State University Executive Director of Auxiliary Services Tyrone Smiley has earned the Certified Auxiliary Services Professional (CASP) designation, a nationally recognized credential awarded by the National Association of College Auxiliary Services (NACAS). The certification reflects a high standard of excellence in auxiliary services leadership across higher education.

CASP is a four-year professional certification designed to prepare and validate leaders for senior roles in auxiliary services. It recognizes expertise in key areas such as management, leadership, marketing, student development, and operations, and is the only certification specifically focused on demonstrating readiness to serve as a Director of Auxiliary Services.

By earning the CASP designation, Smiley joins a select group of professionals who have met rigorous industry standards established by experts in the field. The certification is supported by the NACAS Education Foundation through funding for professional development and leadership advancement.

This achievement highlights MGA’s continued investment in strong operational leadership and professional growth, ensuring campus services that support student success and the overall university experience.
