MGA students and faculty shared their knowledge on a variety of topics during the Georgia Communication Association’s annual conference held at Mercer University. Student presenters included Jacob Abney, Alaina Brown, Ethan Bulharowski, Kelsie Dodd, Candace Robards, and Sevyn Talbert, who took their classroom research to a larger professional audience. Highlights included research on strategic messaging behind landmark legal decisions and modern media ecology.
Faculty from the Department of Media, Culture and the Arts also presented their latest work, with Dr. Michael North receiving an honorable mention for his paper "The Medium is the Message in Today’s Classroom." During the meeting, Dr. Christian Norman officially transitioned into the role of GCA president. The experience provided a unique opportunity for MGA representatives to network with peers from across the state and showcase the critical thinking happening within the university's communication programs.
