STEMposium 2026 Abstract Submissions

April 24, 2026 | Jones Building, Macon Campus | 7:30 AM – 1:00 PM

The STEM Research Committee invites all Science, Technology, and Mathematics faculty to submit your student’s research and internship experiences, as well as your own independent research or CURE projects, for presentation at the annual MGA STEM symposium. We are accepting abstracts for oral and poster presentations.

 

Submission Requirements:

  • Deadline: Abstracts must be submitted by Friday, April 3rd, 2026.

  • Submission Process: Faculty advisors must submit all work via the online form.

  • Abstract Content: All abstracts must contain:

    1. Presentation type preference (ORAL or POSTER — you may only choose one).

    2. Title.

    3. Authors Names, Email Addresses, and Affiliations (must indicate the student’s faculty advisor).

    4. Abstract (200 words max).

    5. Acknowledgements (include extramural funding/collaborators).

 

Presentation Guidelines:

  • Oral Presentations: Prepare for talks lasting 10-12 minutes with 3-5 minutes for questions.

  • Poster Presentations: Suggested dimensions are 48" wide x 36" tall.

  • Note: Exact details for presentation preparation will be provided closer to the meeting date with abstract confirmations.

 

If you would like to participate but do not have a student or research to present, please consider volunteering as a moderator for presentations.
