The University System of Georgia (USG) is moving forward with a major effort to modernize the administrative systems used across all 25 institutions. Work on the initiative known as the Unified ERP Program, officially began in January, with teams from institutions across the USG already collaborating to build the foundation for a new, systemwide platform powered by Workday. This modern platform will eventually streamline key processes such as employee information, finance functions, time sheets, leave requests, and expense reporting.
To share more about this transformation, USG will host a virtual town hall on Thursday, April 16, from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. ET, which is open to all faculty and staff.
The new platform is designed to make everyday tasks simpler, more consistent, and easier to complete regardless of where employees work in the USG. During the town hall, USG leaders will explain why this change is happening, what improvements faculty and staff can expect, and how the transition will unfold over time.
Institutions will continue to receive updates throughout the project, along with opportunities for faculty and staff to participate and share feedback.
