Cochran Campus Wellness Center Membership Update | July 1, 2026
Effective July 1, the Cochran Campus Wellness Center will transition to a paid membership model for faculty, staff, retirees, and eligible family members. This change brings Cochran in line with our Macon Campus and establishes a single, unified membership model across Middle Georgia State University.
Over the past few years, MGA has made significant investments in the Cochran Campus Wellness Center to improve safety, functionality, and the overall member experience. These upgrades include new flooring and improved playing surfaces, enhanced and reconfigured workout spaces, and the addition of modern, state-of-the-art fitness equipment designed to support a wide range of training styles and fitness levels.
MGA has also made intentional upgrades across its campuses to ensure faculty, staff, and retirees have access to functional fitness opportunities regardless of location. Whether you are in Cochran, Macon, Dublin, Warner Robins, or soon at our upcoming full-service Eastman facility, you will find thoughtfully designed wellness spaces that support consistency in your fitness routine.
One Membership, Multiple Locations
One membership, at one price, provides access to wellness facilities across all five MGA campuses. There is no additional cost to use another campus facility, offering flexibility and added value for those who work, teach, or travel between locations.
Discounted Membership Rates for MGA Employees and Retirees
MGA employees and retirees receive discounted rates well below standard community pricing:
Memberships include access to fitness equipment, multipurpose courts, pools where available, and general recreation and wellness spaces.
We understand that this change represents a shift from past practice, and we appreciate your patience and understanding as we move forward. Our goal remains the same: to provide safe, welcoming, and high-quality wellness facilities while continuing to reinvest in the spaces and services that support the health and well-being of our campus community.
For questions, facility tours, or assistance setting up a membership, please stop by the Wellness Center during operating hours or email wellness@mga.edu.
Thank you for your continued support of MGA Recreation & Wellness.
