Middle Georgia State University is hosting the MGA Aviation Legislative Appreciation & Open House, showcasing new training resources and program expansions at the state’s flagship aviation school. Visitors can tour campus facilities, chat with students and instructors, and see firsthand the environments used to train future aerospace professionals. Highlights include an advanced air traffic control simulator, new aircraft engines, updated maintenance equipment, and details on a student fuel fund designed to lower flight training costs.
A brief program takes place at 11:00 AM to recognize state, federal, and private partners whose support helps power Georgia's aerospace industry. Attendees will also learn about MGA’s unique FAA-certified degrees in flight, maintenance, and air traffic control, as well as accelerated pathways into the field. This event is open to the public, and news media are invited to attend.
