As part of "Knights Serve for 9/11 Day," MGA volunteers will give back to local communities through service projects across MGA campuses. Volunteers will assemble care kits—featuring toiletries, socks, sunscreen, and other essentials—for individuals served by Daybreak, a Macon ministry supporting those experiencing homelessness. Volunteers will also provide waterless car washes, refreshments, and thank-you cards for local first responders on the Cochran and Macon campuses.
Care Kit Assembly Schedule:
- Sept 21 | Warner Robins, Oak Hall Lobby | 9:00 AM
- Sept 22 | Eastman, Flight Lobby | 9:00 AM
- Sept 23 | Dublin, Library | 8:00 AM (Sessions run until all kits are made)
First Responder Appreciation Car Wash Schedule:
- Sept 24 | Cochran, Gateway Hall | 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Sept 25 | Macon, Volleyball Gym | 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
These service projects are made possible by grants from the 9/11 Day nonprofit organization and AmeriCorps. All MGA students, faculty, and staff are invited to sign up to volunteer at mga.presence.io/events.
