MGA history professor, is the editor and translator of the recently published
Record of Instructions for Practice: The Teachings of Wang Yangming. Published by Brill, this new edition provides students and scholars with a reliable foundation for studying one of the most influential figures in Confucianism and Chinese history.
In addition to his publication, Dr. Israel recently participated by invitation in the "Korea, East Asia and the World: Neo-Confucianism in Comparative Perspective" conference held at Brasenose College, Oxford.
