MGA to Host Aaron Beam for Ethics Week Conversation

November 3 | Macon, Math Auditorium | 10 AM

As part of Ethics Week, MGA will host Aaron Beam for a special campus conversation titled “Choices, Consequences & Character."

Beam’s presentation will invite students, faculty, staff, and community members to reflect on the moments when small compromises can become life-changing decisions. Drawing from his personal story, Beam will speak about integrity, accountability, pressure, consequences, and the role of character in shaping our lives.

A co-founder and the first CFO of HealthSouth, Beam later pleaded guilty for his role in the company’s accounting fraud and served federal prison time. Since 2008, he has shared his experience with audiences across the country, encouraging honest conversation about ethical decision-making and the importance of personal responsibility.

Rather than focusing only on business ethics, the event is intended to speak to a broader audience by exploring questions that affect all of us: How do we respond under pressure? What values guide our choices? And what happens when character is tested?

The program is sponsored by The Character Integration Project and the School of Business as part of Ethics Week, November 2–8, at Middle Georgia State University.

The event is free and open to the university community and the public.
